A Writer's Ramblings
It's been years since I posted to my old blog on blogspot with that title, but it feels like a good time to start up once again with the launching of a new website and being drawn back into the writing world these past few months.
Six years. Six years since I published The Emerald Wolf and Newtimber: Fractured. Five years since I published romance under the pen names of Raine Gillespie ad Liza Westbrook. It doesn't feel so long, and yet it also feels like forever ago. In that time my kids have grown and gone. I'm a grandma now and happy as could be about it. I've had a lot of ups and downs--mostly downs, but I've found my way through the darkness and have discovered myself again through the written word. I wish it hadn't taken so long, but these journeys take as long as they take. At least the words have come back again. At least there is light shining through the darkness. I've written about half of The Ruby Heart and am trying to add to it each day. I hope you will bear with me in this new adventure and will offer encouragement and good vibes. It takes a lot of faith and work to write a book. It takes a lot of opening myself up to strangers, knowing you will see me through my words. But it's worth it.
